Media reports say that Rajya Sabha MPs Javed Ali Khan and Ramji Lal Saman questioned the government about the salary increases under the condition that, could the government announce a fresh pay commission within 2025-26 budget resources? In response to this, Pankaj Chaudhary, the finance minister, commented that currently, the proposal for constituting the 8th Pay Commission was not under consideration.
